Should i play the guitar left handed or right?

in the very beginning i'd hold my guitar in my right hand because that's the hand i write with, but someone told me i'm supposed to play with my left hand and strum with the right, so that's how i've been learning... I've noticed though, my fingers are way more fluent on my right hand than on my left.... which hand should I hold the neck with? I write with my right hands.... let me know your opinions... thanksShould i play the guitar left handed or right?
If you are right handed, you should strum with your right hand and finger the frets with your left. With practice your left hand fingers will get more fluent on the fret board.Should i play the guitar left handed or right?
It depends! I think it's easy to instinctively want to have your right hand on the fret if you're right-handed, but if you ever want to be cool and add bass notes to your melodies (or even just use more complicated strumming techniques), right-handed strumming is prob the way to go.
right hand, it was built for right handed, you dont really need any more reason. thats that.

good luck =)
I say go right-handed.

You are already getting used to picking with your right hand, you say.

Plus, you may think the fingering hand has the harder job now, but wait till you get further into guitar playing. The right hand gets a lot harder later on.

If you want to solo, the picking hand will have to learn to jump strings, sweep pick (if you go that route), etc. And even if you stick with acoustic stuff, your right hand will have to synchronize perfectly with your fingering hand, and most times you will be focused on the left hand when you play. Therefore, you may want a more fluent picking hand so you can pick well without having to focus on it
Playing with left hand and strumming with your left hand is the better option. The right hand gets a lot harder later on So better you make a choice. Your right hand will have to synchronize perfectly with your fingering hand, and most times you will be focused on the left hand when you play. Therefore, you may want a more fluent picking hand so you can pick well without having to focus on it
