Are you Left Handed?

Today is left-handers day! Only 8% of the worlds population is left-handed and in the past we have been looked down upon. The nuns slapped our hands and forced us to write with our right hands. It is not polite to eat with your left hand in most countries.

Its time to show our pride!

1.)Are you left-handed?

2.)And if so did anyone try to make you learn how to write with your right hand?

3.)Are many of your friends left handed?

4.) Is anyone in your family left-handed?

My answers: I left handed,Nobody stopped me, None of my friends are left handed, and Nobody in my family is left handed. Are you Left Handed?
No, I'm not left-handed -but several people in my family are. Interestingly, left-handedness is one of those traits that appears to follow a pattern of squares (64% v. 36%). 64% of people have the ability to roll their tongue. 64% of dogs favor the right paw, 64% of cats favor the left paw. Presumably only 64% of people would be right-handed if religions %26amp; governments hadn't decided that being left-handed was either evil or uncouth. Happy left-handers day (though it ends in about 10 minutes where I am).Are you Left Handed?

Yes. The Latin word for left-handed is ';sinistral';. That's where we get the word ';sinister';.

In Midevel times it was thought that children that were left-handed were children of the devil.

As late as the 1950's they made baby spoons with a bar coming off the side so they were hard to pick up left-handed.

Older people that learned to write left-handed often twisted their wrist around so they were pulling the writing instrument rather than pushing it and digging into the paper.

Many, like myself, would write from right to left when they first learned to write.

Forcing right-handedness frequently causes poor coordination.

If a left-hander invented books and writing we would read right to left and back to front just because it would be easier for us.
i'm not, but i can do some things with my left hand
I am left-handed and so is my sis but both our parents are righties. My grandma tried to stop me from using my left hand but my mum stepped in and told her to bugger off. And that I should be able to do what I want because everyone is unique.
1)Haha I've always wished I was left-handed for some reason. Better yet, I've wanted to be ambidextrous. lol.

2)I can already write with my right hand.

3)A few of my friends are left-handed, and it's amazing =]

4)There may possibly be some family members that are left-handed, but none that I know of.

I used to practice writing with my left hand, but failed. lol. =]
