For medical reasons I am having trouble using my right hand and arm. So, I'm learning to use my left hand for most things. I've got just about everything down but the writing. How do I hold the pen? Are there any sites, maybe with pictures, that show how to write with your left hand? I know there are a few variations so any of them will do!
Thanks! How can I learn to write with my left hand?
I am a left hander, and I have learned to rotate the paper a bit anti-clockwise. The underarm is more or less parallel to the top edge of the paper, as if you are embracing your writing. This works quite well, but there are also other techniques.
I will try to find sites, so I may update my answer in an hour.
UPDATE
Sites found, and oops, most say that my technique is wrong.
I use the hooked technique, but with the paper rotated different as I explained above. I remember to have seen my technique years ago in a article about this subject which considered both techniques equally effective. My technique requires quite a lot of table space however. The other technique makes it more difficult for me to control the movements of the pen, because it magnifies my trembles. If you don't have such problems, you should try the hand-below-the-line technique first.
I couldn't find any sites specifically for adult right to left switchers. How can I learn to write with my left hand?
