What are the best exercises to develop your left hand side of your body ? (becoming ambidextrous)

so that means, if you are right handed and wish to be able to do all the things you can do with your right with your left hand/arm , what should you do ? try to use your left hand more for everyday tasks ? what about writing the same 2-3 lines on paper with your left hand daily - and trying to see 'improvement' ?

just practice doing everything with your other hand. What are the best exercises to develop your left hand side of your body ? (becoming ambidextrous)
Well you could start by learning to juggle; this utilises both hands equally and while it doesn't lead to full ambidexterity it does improve the coordination in your left (or right) hand and arm significantly. Plus it's a hell of a lot of fun.
Yes, doing a little everyday is the way to go. I am a leftie, but I was raised at a time when lefties were forced to use their right hands...some things I do better left and some better right. I can't seem to cut left handed to save my life. My right handed chopstick ability is rudimentary at best. I can write with both, better of course with my left. I mouse both left and right (that's easy to get used to..I just have it set up in the office to be left and at home to be right--also minimizes the repetition that can lead to carpal tunnel).


In karate , I do everything on both sides, but I'm still way better on my right (funny)....I just go in and do an individual techniques on my good side once or twice and then switch 5-6 times on the weaker side...every time I'm at the dojo; at least 4 x a week. Sparring, I just spar my own belt level and below in the left guard and once in a while stretch myself and get pounded by a black belt for a while :-)


It's just a matter of repetition.
